Catalogna, or “Italian dandelions”.  It’s one of the many varieties of chicory. Used in salads, or as a cooked green.

 

Eggplant grilled in the oven.

 

Grilled banana peppers with olive oil, garlic, and basil

 

We found this salad in the supermarket.  Has rucola, beet leaves, spinach, and feldsalat. (Lamb’s lettuce)

 

Yet another ricotta cake, with apples, banana, raisins, almonds, and walnuts.
